Cell physiology definition

 Cell consists of two major parts. Cell membrane and protoplasm. Protoplasm consists of cytoplasm and nucleus.

Cell membrane :

 Cell membrane is a thin, elastic structure that completely envelops the cell. Functions of cell membrane:

* Forms the boundary of cell

* Protection of cell

* Contains receptor for binding various chemicals.

* It regulates which substance will enter into pr leave from cell.

Protoplasm:

The different substance that make up the cell are collectively called protoplasm. Protoplasm is consisting of cytoplasm and nucleus. Protoplasm is composed of water,protein,lipids,carbohydrate,electrolytes etc.

1. Nucleus: It is the control center of the cell. Nucleus consist of

A) Nuclear membrane

B) Nucleoplasm: contains nucleolus and chromosomal metarials.
